The village of Levoshevo is located in the northwestern part of the Shatursky district, the distance to the Moscow Ring Road is about 115 km. Altitude 128 m [2] .
Title
In written sources, the village is referred to as Levoshinskaya [3] , later Levoshevo [4] [5] or Levashevo [6] .
The name is associated with the non-calendar personal name Levash [7] .
History
First mentioned in the scribal Vladimir book of V. Kropotkin 1637-1648. like the village of Levoshinskaya stan Seneg Vladimir district. The village belonged to the category of patriarchal lands [3] .
Before the abolition of serfdom, the village belonged to the state [4] .
After the abolition of serfdom, the village became part of the Petrovsky volost [8] .
In Soviet times, the village was part of the Petrovsky Village Council [9] .
