Biography

Born May 28, 1733 in Vienna . After studying at a Jesuit gymnasium in Vienna, Arengof, at the age of 18, entered the military service. In the rank of lieutenant took part in the Battle of Lobozitsa . In 1776 he was promoted to colonel , and in 1783 to major general .

He wrote 6 tragedies and 9 comedies in an Alexandrian verse . He also wrote several small poems and letters about Italy . The collected works were published in the third edition in 6 volumes in 1814.
