Alliance Air is an Indian airline headquartered in Delhi , operating in the field of commercial air transportation in regional directions. It was founded in 1996 as a low-cost airline Alliance Air , then it was bought by the flagship carrier of the country Air India and changed its official name to the current one [1] .

History
Alliance Air was established on April 1, 1996 and began operating on June 21 of the same year. Since its inception, the company has been a subsidiary of another Indian airline, Indian Airlines .
After the merger of Air India and India Airlines, the company changed its official name to Air India Regional .

Accidents
- July 17, 2000. The Alliance Air airline's Boeing 737-2A8 / Adv (registration VT-EGD), performing regular flight 7412 on the route Calcutta - Patna - Lucknow - New Delhi , lost control when it landed at the Nayak Jayaprakash ( Patna , Bihar ) airport and crashed into an office building. Onboard there were 58 people. 60 people were killed, including five on the ground [2] .
