On the territory of the village is the architectural and ethnographic museum Taltsy, a unique collection of historical, architectural and ethnographic monuments of the 17th – 20th centuries. The museum retrospectively recreated four historical and cultural zones: Russian, Buryat, Evenk and Tofalar [2] .

Geography
It is located 42 km south-east of Irkutsk , on the right bank of the Angara River , 700 meters south-west of the exit from the Baikal Highway .

Museum
Irkutsk Architectural and Ethnographic Museum Taltsy - Irkutsk State Autonomous Institution of Culture. Located in the village of Taltsy on the banks of the Angara, 20 kilometers north of its source and 47 kilometers south of Irkutsk. The territory of the museum is 67 hectares. Founded in 1969, received its first visitors in 1980. The basis of the museum is the wooden buildings of small towns and villages of the Irkutsk region that fell into the flood zone during the construction of the cascade of hydroelectric power stations on the Angara River in the second half of the 20th century.
