According to media reports, is among the most dangerous airports ( runways ) of the world [3] .
In 2009, for security purposes, the airport was closed to local and international air travel, but continues to be used for private flights of small aircraft, including charitable organizations and doctors to assist villagers in the area [4] . The airport belongs to the African group of companies Matekane Group of Companies, which also provides local air transportation services [3] .
