Area - 1.3 km² (126.0 ha). The maximum depth is 25.0 m, the average depth is 7.0 m. [2] To the north is the deepest lake in the Pskov region - Glubokoe , which is connected by a stream.

On the lake are the villages of Ruposa and Panovo .

Deaf. Refers to the basin of the Kudka River, a tributary of the Great River.

The type of lake is carp and perch with hive, bream and vendace. Mass fish species: pike, roach, perch, tench, crucian carp, loach, ruff, rudd, gley, burbot, bream, vendace, silver bream, plucking, sculpin; broad-toed cancer (singly). [2]

The lake is characterized by: sloping shores, forests, meadows, gardens; in the littoral - sand, in the sublittoral - silty sand, silt, in the profundal - silt; there are stones and a sandy-stony sandbank; there are coastal keys. In the first half of the 20th century, attempts were made to introduce bream, vendace, smelt, Kubensky nelma, Chidi whitefish, eel. Currently, eel is found singly, in small amounts of bream, vendace .. [2]
