Toponymy
The name Kocherikov comes from the Russian dialectal kocherik - a calf from one to two years old , borrowed from the Buryat khasharag - a two - year - old calf [1] .
Population
According to the All-Russian Census , in 2010, 347 people lived in the village (181 men and 166 women) [2] .
