Brooklyn Nets 2013/2014

The 2013-14 season for Brooklyn Nets became the 47th season in the history of the club, the 38th - in the history of the club’s performances in the NBA championship, the 2nd - after moving from New Jersey to Brooklyn . The Nets finished the regular season with 44 matches won with 38 lost matches. In the playoffs, the Brooklyn Nets won in the first round in seven games against the Toronto Raptors , but lost in five meetings in the semi-finals of the conference to Miami .

  • June 12, 2013 - Jason Kidd became the Brooklyn Nets head coach [1] .
  • June 27, 2013 - The 2013 NBA draft went to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn ( New York ).
  • July 1, 2013 - the free agent market opens
  • July 12, 2013 - through an exchange with the Boston Celtics , Kevin Garnett , Paul Pierce and Jason Terry came to the club in exchange for the three peaks of the first rounds of the 2014 , 2016 and 2018 draft picks , Chris Humphries , Gerald Wallace , Marshon Brooks , Keith Bogans and Chris Joseph [2]
  • October 8, 2013 - the first match of the season (against the Washington Wizards ). Win 111: 106 (OT)
  • October 30, 2013 - the first official match (against the Cleveland Cavaliers ). Defeat 94:98
  • December 21, 2013 - The Nets announced that Brooke Lopez, in a lost match against Philadelphia , broke his fifth metacarpal bone in his right foot and dropped out before the end of the season [3] .
  • January 16, 2014 - the match with Atlanta Hawks was held on a neutral ground (in London , at the O2 Arena )
  • April 1, 2014 - The Nets, having defeated the Houston Rockets 105: 96, guaranteed themselves participation in the playoffs [4] .
  • April 16, 2014 - The Nets finished the regular season with a 85: 114 defeat from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
  • May 4, 2014 - The Nets beat the Toronto Raptors in the 7th game of the first round of the playoffs and for the first time in franchise history won the seventh match in 3 attempts [5] .
  • May 14, 2014 - The Nets ended the season with a 94:96 defeat from Miami Heat in five games of the conference semifinal [6] .
