Toshio Irie ( Japanese 入 江 稔 夫 Irie Toshio ); November 5, 1911 - May 8, 1974 ) - Japanese swimmer, Olympic medalist.

Toshio Irie was born in 1911 in Takatsuki Osaka Prefecture , graduated from Waseda University .
In 1928, Toshio Irie took part in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam , but in the finals he only reached the finish line; nevertheless, in the autumn of 1928 he set a new world record in swimming at a distance of 200 m per back. In the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he won a silver medal at a distance of 100 meters on his back.
