Geography
The commune is located approximately 340 km south of Paris , 80 km southeast of Poitiers , 70 km northeast of Angouleme [1] .
More than a third of the communal territory is occupied by meadows, due to which agriculture is well developed. About a quarter of the territory is covered with chestnuts and wastelands.
