History
GoAir airline was founded in 2005 by Jehangir Vadia, the youngest son of a prominent Indian entrepreneur Nusley Wadia, joining the conglomerate of the Wadia Group corporations, primarily known for its subsidiaries Bombay Dyeing and Britannia Industries [6] . Its founder, Jehangir Vadia, became chairman of the board of directors of the company, and Giorgio De Roni became its general director [7] . GoAir began operating in November 2005 and initially operated one Airbus A320 [6] .
In January 2007, the average load of the passenger seats of the airline reached 86% [6] . At the same time, the development of the carrier is proceeding at a rather slow pace, mainly due to the intense competition with the two other low-cost airlines of India, IndiGo and SpiceJet . GoAir CEO Giorgio De Roni explains the slow growth of the company's current strategy aimed at achieving and maintaining profitability of commercial activities, rather than the pursuit of opening new routes and acquiring aircraft [7] [8] .
In April 2012, after the bankruptcy of Kingfisher Airlines, GoAir rose from sixth to fifth position in the list of Indian airlines in terms of passenger traffic [3] [9] .
Route Network
The GoAir route network covers 21 cities in India, the company makes 102 daily flights and about 710 flights a week between the airports of these cities [4] . Under the current rules of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, the airline is not allowed to organize international routes due to its small fleet of aircraft [8] .
