The species was previously included in the genus Holcocerus (under the name Holcocerus gracilis Christoph, 1887 ), but in 2006 the Russian lepidopterologist Roman Viktorovich Yakovlev ( Altai State University , Barnaul ) was isolated in the monotypic genus Plyustchiella , named after the Ukrainian entomologist Igor G. Plusch ( Kiev ), which made a major contribution to the study of the fauna of Central Asia [2] .
