Biography
From the peasants of the village of Zavraga, Semenkovskaya volost, Vologda district, Vologda province [3] . Primary education. Until 1882, he was in military service, after being transferred to the reserve, he was engaged in timber trade [1] . Timber merchant. He had a shower peasant allotment [1] . He advocated peasant self-government and the democratization of the zemstvos. Non-partisan. In his report to the governor of Vologda, the governor described D. K. Martyanov as “a supporter of the Union of Russian People” ... he has good behavior and moral qualities, does not belong to any political parties and organizations, has loyal feelings and is well-trained in judgments on government issues ” [1] . Martyanov characterized himself: “I am a man of average mind, with a soft heart, a little knowledgeable, but fully aware of the importance of the matter” [4] . Before the deputy’s departure, a statement was published by Martyanov’s fellow villagers: “... if you don’t protect our rights, let’s put a red cock on you [5] . As Severnaya Zemlya reported:“ D.K. Martyanov submitted an application to the insurance bureau of the Zemstvo administration insurance of his residential and non-residential buildings as high as possible. His relatives are doing the same " [6] .
March 26, 1906 was elected to the State Duma of the I convocation of the total electors of the Vologda Provincial Electoral Assembly. The Trudoviks in their publication “The Works of the First State Duma” describe Martyanov’s political position as “non-partisan, right” [7], with the proviso that this characteristic refers to those deputies who, having settled in Erogin’s state-owned apartment, remained non-partisan or joined the right-wing parties [8] . He was a member of the commission for the execution of the state list of income and expenses. In the Duma, he was fully guided by the opinion of the leader of the Vologda nobility, deputy N. N. Andreev [6] . The peasants of the Sychevsky volost of the Vologda district sent a telegram to the Duma: “We welcome Shchipin , a member of the labor group , express our distrust and condemnation to those who have forgotten their promises, Andreev, Martyanov, Fedotovsky , Shemyakin . Could confirm with a thousand signatures ” [6] .
The fate and date of death is unknown.
