Biography
The representative of the noble Polish noble clan Dengoff coat of arms " Verp ", which came from Livonia . The youngest (third) son of the Chestnut and the governor of Perniv Ernest Magnus Dengoff ( 1581 - 1642 ) from his marriage to Catherine von Don ( 1606 - 1659 ). The elder brothers are the capital of the great Lithuanian Gerard Dengoff (c. 1632 - 1685 ) and the governor of Malbork Ernest Dengoff (c. 1630 - 1693 ).
In 1666 he moved from Poland to Prussia and became the ancestor of the Prussian line of the Dengoff family. His residence was the Friedrichstein castle in the Pregol river valley, 20 km from Konigsberg .
May 18, 1667 Friedrich von Dengoff joined the Prussian army, receiving the rank of lieutenant colonel and commandant of the regiment . June 24, 1668 he was promoted to colonel and became chief of the regiment. In 1673, he represented the Elector of Brandenburg, Frederick Wilhelm I of Hohenzollern, at the Electoral Diet after the death of Polish King Michael Koribut Wisniewiecki .
On April 10, 1678 he was promoted to major general of the Prussian army; on July 18, 1678 he was appointed governor of Klaipeda . March 5, 1684 received the rank of lieutenant general . In 1688 he became a chamber junker , entered the secret and military councils at the Brandenburg Elector. In 1692, Friedrich von Dengoff was appointed commandant of the Memel garrison.

On November 13, 1664 he married the Prussian baroness Eleanor Catherine von Schwerin ( 1646 - 1696 ), from whom he had five sons and four daughters:
