Bratislava trolley bus

The first 5.8 km trolleybus line was opened in 1909 along the route Pražské ulice - Železné studničky. In 1915, trolleybuses were liquidated for technical reasons (poor road conditions, steep entrances). The next time the trolleybuses were launched on July 31, 1941 along the route from the main theater to the main station. In 1951-1961 , most of the modern trolleybus network was built. From the second half of the 60s to the first half of the 70s, part of the lines was liquidated due to low fuel prices. In the 80s, the construction of the system began again. In 1999, a line was built to NÚSCH and to the National Institute of Oncology. On September 4, 2006, the newest Molecova line, Kuklovská, was commissioned. It is not connected to the rest of the trolleybus network.
