History
The club was founded in 1990 under the name "Nagano Eldza FC" as part of a local university, its orange and black colors were chosen as the colors of Nagano Prefecture. In 2007, the club’s name on FC Nagano Parseiro was due to a copyright issue, however the club colors and symbol (Elsa lioness) remained untouched.
The principal rival of Nagano Parseiro is the Matsumoto Yamaga club, the matches between them are called the Shinano Derby. In their debut season in the Japanese Football League, the team took second place, but could not get a place in the J-League due to the stadium's mismatch with the necessary standards.
