Description

Hymenoptera insects of a microscopic size dark brown in color. Body length about 1 mm (female dimensions - 845–973 μm ). The length of the abdomen with an ovipositor is 441-450 microns, the front wings are 902-1103 microns, the hind wings are 682-834 microns. Flagellum of females contains 8 flagellomeric segments; the final segment, the largest, forms a club (11 segments with pedicellus, annulus and scape ). The legs are 5-segmented. Wings with strongly reduced venation, no cells. The host on which these riders parasitize is unknown, but presumably, like other species of a kind, they are egg parasitoids of the winged insects (cicadas from the families Cicadellidae and Cercopidae ) [1] .

Etymology

The species was first described in 2013 by the American entomologist John Huber (Huber, JT; Entomology Research Museum) and named after its location [1] .
