“Mikhail” is a two-masted sailing schooner of the Aral Flotilla of the Russian Empire . One of the first Russian ships on the Aral Sea .

Service History
The schooner "Michael" was built in Orenburg in 1847 as a commercial vessel designed to organize company fishing in the Aral Sea . Together with the schooner, “ Nikolai ” was disassembled at the carts from Orenburg to Raim , where both ships were assembled and launched [1] .
She took part in the Aral expedition of 1848 - 1849 .
On July 24 ( August 5 ), returning from Perovsky Bay to the Syr Darya, the crew of the schooner picked up a group of Kyrgyz people in trouble on Kinderli Island and delivered them to Kosaral by July 27 ( August 8 ) [1] .
On the way from Cape Uzunkair on the Kulanda Peninsula at the mouth of the Syr Darya, on August 13 (25), she brought to Barsakelmes , where at that time the scholars " Konstantin " were members of the Aral expedition, clerk of the company of fishermen in the Aral Sea N. V. Zakhryapin [2] and the local the conductor of the Kosaral Kyrgyz Almobet, who knew the surroundings of the Aral Sea [1] .
