Transcaucasian Eisenia ( lat.Eisenia transcaucasica ) is a small - bristled annelid worm from the lumbricidal family. It is included in the Red Book of the Russian Federation with the category “1 - Endangered”. Included in the Red Book of the Krasnodar Territory.

The length of the body is 5-6 cm, the width is 0.5 cm. This species has a cylindrical body shape. Behind the girdle this form is slightly flattened. No pigmentation. Body color is whitish-gray.
He lives only in one particular region of the world - in the Caucasus . In Russia, it lives only in the southeast of the Krasnodar Territory. It was discovered in the vicinity of Krasnaya Polyana and in the gorge of the Achips river.
It is found singly in all areas of the range. There was no special monitoring of the dynamics of the size of the national population. There is a direct destruction of habitats as a result of development.
