History
Baggovutovskaya street appeared in the 1840s and is one of the oldest streets of Lukyanovka .
The street is part of the ancient Yurkovskaya road, which connected Podol with the Kirillovskie hills along the Yurkovski Yar and the slopes of the Yurkovitsa mountain.
Title
According to one version, the name comes from the homeowner Leonty Baggovut. In the 1840s, the construction of the upper part of the road began and, according to the documents of the city authorities, one of the first developers was a certain Leonty Baggovut, whose estate was mentioned in 1843.
According to another version [1], the street got its name in honor of the general from cavalry Baggovut A.F. (1807–1883), who owned the estate on Lukyanovka and was headman of the Fedorovskaya church.
The name “Baggovutovskaya” was often written with errors, therefore the names Boggogutovskaya, Boggoutovskaya, Bogoutsutska are found.
