Maurizio's maternal grandfather, as a professional architect, taught the boy to draw. In 1722, the family moved to Mannheim . Together with his cousin, Maurizio worked on the construction of the Ludwigsburg residence . In 1735 he participated in the design of the Margrave residence in Ansbach . In 1738 he designs the church of St. Humbert in Munich.

In the years 1739-1741, Pedetti traveled around Italy, while improving his skills as an architect. Pedetti was drawn into the war for the Austrian inheritance . In 1743 he entered the military service. However, he soon leaves her and finds herself at the court of the princes of the Radziwills in Nesvizh . Here Pedetti is involved in the restoration of the Jesuit temple of God's body . Near the temple is the Bulgarin chapel, built in 1747 for the grandfather of the Russian writer Bulgarin .

After several years spent in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , Pedetti returns to German lands and enters into the service of the prince-bishop of Aikhstet . More widely known than previous works, he brings the creation of a number of buildings in the city of Eichstät .
