History

It is first mentioned in the Scribe Book of the Vodskaya Pyatina of 1500 as the village of Saglitsy in the Egorievsky Radchinsky churchyard of Koporye district [2] .

Then - like the wasteland Säglitzi Ödhe in the Radchinsky churchyard in the Swedish "Scribe books of Izhora land" 1618-1623 [3] .

On the map of Ingermanland, A. I. Bergenheim , compiled from Swedish materials in 1676, is designated as the village of Siglitsa [4] .

On the Swedish "General Map of the Province of Ingermanland" in 1704 - as Säglitsa [5] .

As the village of Zyaglitsa, it is indicated on the “Geographical drawing of Izhora land” by Adrian Schonbek in 1705 [6] .

On the map of the St. Petersburg province , F.F. Schubert, 1834, is referred to as the village of Selishche on the edge of the “Kosaya Mshaga” swamp [7] .

VILLAGE - the village belongs to the Office of the St. Petersburg District Administration, the number of inhabitants under the audit: 66 m., 68 w. p. (1838) [8]

The village of Selishche is indicated on the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852 [9] .

VILLAGE - a village of the State Property, on a country road, the number of yards - 19, the number of souls - 54 m. (1856) [10]


VILLAGE - a state-owned village by the Selisk river, along a country road from the village of Yaschera, the number of yards is 13, the number of inhabitants: 35 m., 60 w. p. (1862) [11]

In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Sosnitskaya volost of the 2nd camp of the Tsarskoye Selo district of St. Petersburg province.

In 1914, the Selishchensk Zemstvo school worked in the village, where Stepan Mitrofanov served as a teacher [12] .

The village of Selishche was part of the parish of the Peter and Paul Church in Gryzov [13] .

From 1917 to 1923, the village of Selishche was part of the Selishchensky village council of the Sosnitskaya volost of the Detskoselsky district .

Since 1923, as part of the Gatchina district .

Since 1927, as part of the Volosovsky district.

Since 1928, as part of the Rakovsky Village Council. In 1928, the population of the village of Selishche was 256 people.

Since 1930, as part of the Sosnitsky Village Council [14] .

According to 1933, the village of Selishche was part of the Sosnitsky village council of the Volosovsky district [15] .

The village was liberated from the Nazi occupiers on February 5, 1944 [16] .

Since 1963, in the Kingisepp district .

Since 1965, again as part of the Volosovsky district. In 1965, the population of the village of Selishche was 90 people [14] .

According to the data of 1966 and 1973, the village of Selishche was also part of the Sosnitsky Village Council [17] [18] .

According to 1990, the village of Selishche was part of the Izvarsky Village Council [19] .

In 1997, 4 people lived in the village of Selishche , the village belonged to the Izvar volost, in 2002 - 6 people (all Russians), in 2007 - 1 person [20] [21] [22] .

Geography

The village is located in the southeastern part of the region south of the highway 41K-013 ( Zhabino - Verest).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 16 km [22] .

The village is located on the Selisk river, the final point of the Volosovo -Selishche railway line.

The distance to the nearest railway station Volosovo is 30 km [17] .
