Fialkov, Yakov Anatolyevich

Yakov Anatolievich (Naftulovich) Fialkov ( November 20, 1895 , Kiev - November 16, 1958 , Kiev) - Doctor of Chemical Sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR.

Biography

In 1930 he graduated from the graduate school of KPI. At the same time (from 1925 to 1935) was an assistant professor at the Kiev Pharmaceutical Institute. Subsequently, from 1929 to 1941 he was an assistant professor of KPI.

Since 1930, he became a senior researcher at the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR. From 1944 to 1956 he was a professor at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry [1] .

He died on November 16, 1958. He was buried in Kiev at the Baykovsky cemetery .

Family

  • Son - Yuri Yakovlevich Fialkov (1931-2002) - Soviet and Ukrainian chemical scientist, Doctor of Chemistry, professor at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute, a specialist in the field of physical chemistry of solutions, an active popularizer of scientific knowledge. Laureate of the USSR State Prize, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine. Also known as a science fiction writer (pseudonym - Yuri Tsvetkov).

Head of three doctoral and 32 master's theses. Among the students: V. P. Kramarenko, A. I. Genghrinovich, L. I. Rapoport [1] .
