Biography

On June 28, 1930, Luke Katsusaburo Arai was ordained a priest .

On December 13, 1951, Pope Pius XII appointed Luke Katsusaburo Arai as bishop of Yokohama. On February 24, 1952, Luke Katsusaburo Arai was ordained bishop by Cardinal Maximilien de Fürstenberg , accompanied by the Archbishop of Tokyo, Cardinal Peter Tatsuo Doi and the Apostolic Vicar Hiroshima Johannes Ross .

Luca Katsusaburo Arai participated in the I, II, III and IV sessions of the Second Vatican Council .

October 30, 1990 resigned. Died July 25, 1990 in Yokohama.
