Pengzhongiella daicongchaoi (lat.) Is a species of myrmecophilous beetles of the genus Pengzhongiella Yin & Li, 2013 from the subfamily Pselaphinae ( Staphylinidae ). Endemic of East Asia. Southwest China ( Gaoligong Mountains , Yunnan ). Length 2 mm, red-brown. Antennae 11-segmented, three terminal segments larger, form a mace. Eyes are rounded, frontal rostrum is absent. Each shortened elytra with three reduced basal depressions. Found in anthills of ponerin ants of the species Odontomachus monticola (this is the first representative of the subfamily Pselaphinae found in ants of the genus Odontomachus ). The species was first described in 2013 and named after Shanghai collectors Zhong Peng and Cong-Chao Dai, who collected a typical series of beetles [1] .
