Description
The diameter of the mushroom cap is 4-5 cm. At first it is convex, and with age it can become funnel-shaped. Hat from orange-yellow to orange-reddish color. Its fields are very wavy or even curly.
The leg of this mushroom is 2-4 cm high, and up to 1 cm in diameter, has a thin felt coating and tapers to the base. The color of the legs varies with age from light orange to yellowish.
The mushroom pulp is tender. In the hat it is slightly orange, and in the leg it is white or yellowish. It has a very pleasant smell and a specific sour taste. Thick plates passing to the leg are branched and connected to each other by thin veins. Their color is initially like that of a hat , but later becomes gray-yellow.
Spore powder is pale yellow.
Distribution
This mushroom can be found only in southeastern Europe . It grows on acidic soils, mainly in deciduous forests . This chanterelle is found in the forest from July to October, singly or in small groups. These chanterelles are rare.
