History
The first mines in the Olkhovatka area were built during the years of the first five-year plans .
At the end of the 50s of the 20th century, a number of Olkhovatka mines were closed, and the rest were planted on one horizon and reduced to one - No. 12.
Since 1972, this mine has received the name "Olkhovatskaya".
In the 70s, new geological studies were carried out, during which new coal reserves were discovered, allowing it to be mined over the next 180-300 years. Therefore, a project was developed for the construction of a new vertical trunk, the project was implemented by 1993.
But the lack of state funding, chronic non-payment of wages to miners, the frequent change of mine leaders put Olkhovatskaya in difficult working conditions, and after a fire in December 2001, it threatened to be completely closed.
Current Status
The staff of the enterprise as of 2011 is 825 people. [2]
Mine "Olkhovatskaya" is the only industrial enterprise that gives work to the population of the village . A number of social and cultural life objects are connected with it: the electricity and water supply of the village goes through the mine.
