Story
The castle keeper, Friedrich Scherzer, is the father of five daughters whom he cares for after his wife’s death. At work, he is busy preserving the castle, which was transferred to the American possessions after the war, collecting works of art and books in a large library. Since he takes his work very seriously, he does not always have enough time to fulfill his duties as a father. The five-year-old Yulkhen disease is a temporary reason for the presence of Frau Hansen’s neighbor in Scherzer’s house. She considers it her duty to take care of the health of the child. During this time, she gradually becomes acquainted with the interests and needs of the family.
