Zastyrets, Joseph Yakovlevich

Joseph Yakovlevich Zastyrets ( August 15, 1873 , Konyushkov - January 15, 1943 , Lviv ) - Greek Catholic priest, Galician writer, philosopher , public and educational figure. Doctor of Philosophy .

Biography

He studied at the Lviv Theological Seminary. He was a teacher of Berezhanskaya, and later Ternopil gymnasium.

In 1898 he was ordained a priest.

Prepared the second edition of The Mermaid of the Dniester , printed in 1910 in Ternopol . The second edition of the "Mermaid of the Dniester" with a donation autograph of Joseph Zastirtsya dated March 10, 1910 is stored in the Lviv Scientific Library. Vasily Stefanik .

In November 1915, the Vienna professor, Ph.D. Joseph Zastyrets, introduced Ivan Franko for the Nobel Prize [1] .

Joseph Zastirets was, as he signed up for the Alfred Nobel Prize submission, a gymnasium professor, Ph.D., head of a teacher's office [2] .
