Group History
Alexey Boytsov, Vladimir Sokoushin and Alexander Suslov, inspired by the world-famous EBM- projects “ Front 242 ” and “ Front Line Assembly ” in 1996, in St. Petersburg, create the project “The-Pulsar”. They record several albums, but they manage to release only one, this is the album "Revolution". It was published in 1999 by the Bomba-Peter label. At that time, hard electronic music was not at all popular in Russia. And so The-Pulsar has remained in the shadows for a long time. In 2004, Sergey Naan joined the project, which gives a very strong and high-quality impetus to the work of the team. A year later, “The-Pulsar” signs a contract with the label “Advoxya records” and, after the release of the album “Awakening”, finally becomes popular. Since that time, the group has been engaged in active concert activities and collaborates a lot with other groups. “The-Pulsar” performs in conjunction with such well-known European groups as “ Haujobb ” and “ Colony 5 ”, Russian “Dancing in the wild”, “AlteraForma”, “ Wavefall ”. Participates in many famous festivals. In the wake of popularity, the group releases the album "Re-wakening" with remixes to the tracks from the previous album from well-known Russian electronic groups. The release of the next album “Never” in 2008 characterizes a new, more powerful round in the work of the team. The-Pulsar music is becoming even more high-tech and expressive. The group continues to perform a lot of concerts, but gradually fades into the shadows. For several years there has been no news of the group. All this time, musicians have been experimenting with their style in order to please their fans in 2012 with the new album “Transformation Of The Flight”, which was released again on “Advoxya records”. For the first time in many years, The-Pulsar is released with Russian-language lyrics. Drummer Valentina Vekshina and famous guitarist Alexander Nevsky ( Northern Gate , Nomans Land ) join the project, and the group resumes active concert activity. Today “The-Pulsar” has moved quite far from its original style and continues to experiment with various electronic directions.
