Biography
He was born in the city of Naberezhnye Chelny in 1981. His father gave the first bicycle to Alexander before the school. But he took up cycling seriously at the age of 13 in the Yar Chally sports school. Coach - Gumar Nurullin.
In the 90s, it was decided to determine Alexander Bespalov in the Ufa bike center “Agidel”, where they established cooperation with the Italian club Miche. There he was able to train in the winter. In 2002, Alexander achieved his first impressive success, winning the silver medal of the world championship in Belgium. Then there were the "bronze" of the world championship, as well as the "silver" and "bronze" of the European championships.
In 2004, Alexander Bespalov became the champion of Russia in the race with a separate start of 40 km. Then such venerable “dividers” like Vyacheslav Ekimov, Yevgeny Petrov, Denis Menshov and Vladimir Karpets, who were busy preparing for the Tour de France stage race, did not come to the Russian championship.
Alexander Bespalov:
At the World Championships, I took the second and third places, at the European Championships I was the silver medalist and at the last year national championship I lost the first place to Vladimir Gusev. There were also objective reasons for the fact that the victory left me for a long time. Say, in 2002 I missed a lot of time because of a broken arm. And this season managed to do without injury. Moreover, I specially prepared for Samara, having flown in from Europe almost a month before the start. All this time I trained at home in Naberezhnye Chelny.
With his victory, Bespalov made a serious bid to hit the Russian Olympic team. But Alexander was not included in the team team. He was already in Verona, running around the track, preparing for the World Cup and counting on "gold". The head coach from Ufa replaced him with another racer.
Doping
The last victory of Alexander Bespalov refers to 2007, but in the fall of 2007, the Premier team, in which Alexander Bespalov spoke, got into doping in Belgium [1] . It was Alexandra Bespalova, the coach of the team who accused of using doping and bringing him to a hotel room, emphasizing that the athlete does not train, but wins.
Our Premier is an absolutely clean team. I do not get tired of repeating that no one is using illegal drugs. However, arranging interrogations and searches is not my style. It is enough that everyone gave the appropriate receipt: I guarantee, I will not apply anything forbidden, I bear full personal responsibility. Frankly, there is one driver, whom I - perhaps, without any reason - consider to be muddy. This is Alexander Bespalov. He is older than the other guys, 24 years old, does not work with us, just chases under the flag, and this time he arrived 10 days later than the rest.
Coaching Activity
Since 2014, Alexander Bespalov has been working as a cycling-highway coach at the Yar Chally Sports School. In 2016, one of the students of Bespalov fell into a blockage at a children's cycling race, receiving a severe spinal injury. Alexander Bespalov did not stop to assist, and finished, taking a prize. [2] From February 2017 he heads the Federation of Cycling Sports of Tatarstan. Bespalov’s election was accompanied by scandal, as most coaches wanted to see a more active person as head of the federation .
