Brzeцć Kujaw Voivodeship

Brzeесć-Kuyavian Voivodeship ( lat. Palatinatus Brestensis , Polish. Województwo brzeskokujawskie ) is an administrative-territorial unit of the Kingdom of Poland and the Commonwealth . It existed from the 14th century until 1793 .

Brzeцć Kujaw Voivodeship on the map

Brzeесć-Kuyavian Voivodeship was created on the basis of the lands of the Kuyavian Principality . It was part of Greater Poland province and belonged to the Greater Poland region. It was located in the western part of the Commonwealth , in the center of Greater Poland. The voivodship center is the city of Brzeцc Ku Куavi . It was headed by the commanders of the Brzesti-Kuyavian. The Sejm of the Voivodship was gathering in the city of Radzejuv .

3 senators ( bishop , voivode and czartelyan of Brzeжć-Kuyavia) represented the Brzecki-Kuyavian Voivodeship in the Senate of the Commonwealth . It consisted of five districts. In 1791, the area of ​​the Voivodeship totaled 3,276.97 km², according to the census of 1790, the population was 48,076.

In 1793, after the Second Partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Brzeцcie-Kuyavian Voivodeship was liquidated and annexed by the Prussian Kingdom . The territory of the Voivodeship became part of the Prussian province of West Prussia .
