Nika Baric ( Slovenian. Nika Barič ; born September 2, 1992 , Trbovle , Zasavsk , Slovenia ) is a Slovenian professional basketball player playing the role of point guard . She is the first representative of Slovenia drafted by the VNBA club. The best young basketball player in Europe 2010 according to FIBA Europe .

Biography
From the age of 12, Nika Barich began to be constantly involved in the national team of various ages. The best success of a basketball player is the 2010 European Junior Championship in Slovakia . The Slovenian team for the first time in its history took 4th place, and Nika was recognized as the most useful player in the tournament [1] . At that championship, in terms of points, she had a second indicator - 23.3 on average per match, in the first gear - 5.9. As a result of the successful season, FIBA Europe recognized Nick as the best young basketball player in Europe in 2010 [2] .
The debut for the “adult” national team took place 5 days before his sixteenth birthday, on August 27, 2008 in a match with the Netherlands national team .
Baric started her club professional career in basketball when she was 15 years old when she signed a contract with one of the best Slovenian clubs, Merkur. For 4 seasons spent in Celje , Baric won 2 Slovenian champion titles, a two-time winner of the national cup . Personal achievements are getting into the “symbolic five” of the championship of Slovenia (2008 [3] , 2010 [4] , 2011 [5] ) and recognition of the best defender in the women's Adriatic League (2011 [6] ).
In 2011, Nika signs a four-year contract with one of the “grands” of the Russian basketball “ Sparta & K ”. For two years in a row, Baric has won the silver medal of the Russian championship in Russia ; he is constantly a member of the FIBA Euroleague Final Eight.
On April 11, 2012, Nika entered her name in the history of Slovenian women's basketball, as the first basketball player drafted by the VNBA club. Minnesota Links chose a 19-year-old Slovenian under a common 20 number [7] .
