Chelmno Voivodeship ( lat. Palatinatus Culmensis , Polish. Województwo chełmińskie ) is an administrative-territorial unit of the Kingdom of Poland and the Commonwealth . It existed in 1466 - 1793 years .

The Helmno Voivodeship was created in 1466 after the Thirteen Years' War between the Polish Kingdom and the Teutonic Order ( 1454 - 1466 ). It was part of the Greater Poland province and belonged to the Royal Prussia region. The center of the province is the city of Chelmno . Headed by the Helmine governors. The Sejmik of the Voivodeship gathered in the city of Kovalevo .
The Helmno Voivodeship had 3 senators in the Senate of the Commonwealth , was divided into two lands ( Helminskaya and Michalowska ) and consisted of 7 districts. The area of Voivodeship is 4654 km². In 1793, after the Second partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the Helmno Voivodeship was liquidated and annexed to the Prussian Kingdom . The territory of the province became part of the province of West Prussia .
