Player Career
Vladimir Radionov began playing football in the team of the Tallinn Construction College, then he played for Estonian amateur teams - the team of the Dvigatel plant (Tallinn) and Kalev (Ülemiste). In 1960 he was invited to the main team of the Estonian SSR - Tallinn " Kalev ", who then played in the Higher League of the USSR . In Kalev, Radionov played 2 seasons as a striker .
In 1962, Vladimir Radionov moved to the Kalinin Volga and changed his role from an attacker on the central defender. In 1963, as part of the Volga, he became the champion of the RSFSR. From June 1966 to 1969 Radionov played for the Moscow Lokomotiv in the Premier League, was the team captain in 1966. He played the second half of the 1969 season for the Simferopol Tavria , and ended his player’s career.
Coaching career
After completing a gaming career, he became a coach. In 1970-1975, he was a trainer at the Moscow Lokomotiv school, and from June 1975 to 1977, he was a head coach.
In 1980-1981 he headed the Kalinin Volga, in the first half of the 1983 season he headed the Moscow Lokomotiv. In 1984-1985, Radionov switched to organizational work - he headed the football department of the Moscow Sports Committee.
From 1986 to 1990, Radionov coached the USSR youth team (born 1968) and led it to victory in the 1990 European Youth Championship. From 1992 to 2004 he was Secretary General of the RFU . He was a member of the FIFA Technical Committee (1991-?), A member of the UEFA European Championships Committee (1996-?).
