“ Dead Winter Dead ” is a concept album about fictional events during the war in Yugoslavia:
- The story of a young Serb Serjan Aleshkovich
- The history of the Bosnian Muslim girl Katrina Brasic
- The story of an elderly Serb (the name is not mentioned in the work), who returned to his hometown and played the cello during the bombings
Songs
- The vocals in the songs “I Am” and “Doesn't Matter Anyway” were performed by John Oliva for the first time since 1991;
- The songs “One Child” and “Not What You See” use the imposition of different vocals;
- The video for the song “One Child” was made;
- The song “Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)” was also performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra in the album 1996 Christmas Eve and Other Stories and a video was shot on it.
