Biography
From childhood, he was subjected to psychological trauma. His father died when he was 2 years old, and his mother brought a new man to the house. When he was 7 years old, he was raped by his brother’s 16-year-old friend [1] . Growing up, he married, he had two daughters. They later divorced, and the ex-wife and children moved to the United States, which led Calva into extreme depression.
Calva degradation was gaining momentum. The girls who were in a relationship with Jose Luis characterized him as a very jealous, inclined extravagance man. Calva was an alcoholic; he was also suicidal .
Calva had a romantic relationship with a young woman (32 years old), a mother of two children, named Alexander. Their relationship was not easy. Calva forced Alexander to live with him, otherwise he threatened to commit suicide. After Alexandra disappeared, her mother went to the police. She told the guards that she suspected Calva. [1]
Arrest, Judgment, and Death
In October 2007, police came to Calva’s house to test his involvement in the disappearance of his girlfriend. He was caught at the moment when he was eating a dish of human meat. He tried to escape and jumped out the window, but seriously wounded himself and was arrested. In the house of Calva, a mutilated corpse of his girlfriend was discovered. In the refrigerator lay pieces of human meat [1] . An image of Hannibal Lector was found in the house. Also in the house was found an unfinished novel "Instincts of the cannibal" [1] .
Calva was charged with the murder of Alexandra Galeana. In addition, it was found that earlier Calva committed the murder of another girl - Veronica Martinez. He was ultimately convicted of two murders and sentenced to 84 years in prison.
In prison, he soon hung himself. Calva left no suicide note [2] [3] .
