Located in the southern part of the district on the right bank of the Malyavka river. The distance to the regional center Smorgon on the highway is about 27.5 km, to the village council center of the agro-town of Krevo in a straight line - 5 km. The nearest settlements are Verebushki , Malyavichi , Shimaki [4] . The area of the occupied territory is 0.1860 km², the length of the borders is 2810 m [5] .
According to the census, the population of the village in 1999 numbered 21 people [6] .
Until 2008, the Balaban were part of the Ordashinsky Village Council [7] .
The local road N6128 Krevo - Ordashi passes through the village [8] .
