Romanova Street (until 1924 - Gulyaevskaya [1] ) - a street in the Central District of Novosibirsk. It consists of four unconnected sections. The first starts from Sovetskaya Street , crosses Red Avenue , after which it adjoins Michurin Street and is interrupted by the territory of Central Park . The next part of the street originates in the residential quarter, crosses the Shamshinykh Family Street and ends, connecting with Olga Zhilina Street . The third street fragment is located in the administrative-residential quarter and joins the road exit to the Kamenskaya highway. The fourth part of the street begins behind the Kamenskoye highway, on the east side of it.

Title
The street is named after Vasily Romanovich Romanov , the first chairman of the Novonikolayevsky Council of Workers 'and Soldiers' Deputies.
Historic Buildings
The House of Artists is a residential multi-apartment building, built in the 1930s by architects B. A. Gordeev and S. P. Turgenev . Monument of architecture of regional significance. The architectural style is a transition between the constructivism of the 1920s and the "Soviet classicism" of the 1940-1950s. From 1941 to 1944, a well-known theater and music critic, musicologist Ivan Solovichinsky , lived in this house. [2]
Organizations
- The Novosibirsk House of Models is an organization for the design and production of clothing, located in a building on the corner of Krasny Prospekt and Romanova Street (house number 27).
Interesting Facts
- Romanova Street is not a single whole and is divided into fragments by the Central Park, the quarter, the private sector, cooperative garages and the Kamenskoye highway. It is also impossible to directly cross the Red Avenue along the street, since the alley located in the center of the avenue blocks the path. The appearance of the street at its beginning (from Sovetskaya St.) is very different with the view of its final part after the intersection of the Kamenskaya Highway.
