Goniozus musae (lat.) - a species of os-betilides of the genus Goniozus from the family Bethylidae ( Chrysidoidea , Hymenoptera ). Endemic to the North Island of New Zealand [1] .

DescriptionSmall brachypeter wasps, shortened wings barely reach the propodeum . The length of females is 3.0-3.3 mm (males not found) [1] and mandibles are black. The antennae and legs are brown. Abdomen dark brown to black. 4-pronged mandibles . Claws of legs are simple, without notches [1] .
EtymologyThe species was first described in 2013 by New Zealand entomologist D. Ward (Ward DF; New Zealand Arthropod Collection, Landcare Research, Auckland , New Zealand ) and named after the British rock band Muse [1] .
