Description

The length of the females is 12 mm (males - 13 mm), the width is about 1 mm. Intravital coloration is unknown (presumably, like other species of the genus reddish-brown). They live in the litter layer of the eucalyptus forest and in karst caves. The body consists of 19 segments (juvenile individuals have less). Metatergites without tuberculosis. Tergites in the middle part of the body are approximately twice as wide as their length. Dorsal groove absent. The head is large and round; no eyes. Telopods look like ordinary legs. It differs from the closely related species Tasmaniosoma armatum in the structure of antennae and hetalia. The species was first described in 2010 by the Australian zoologist Robert Mesibov ( Robert Mesibov , Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Launceston , Tasmania , Australia ) [1] [2] .
