The village is located in the southern part of the peninsula of the Rybinsk reservoir , bounded in the east by the Volga channel, and in the north and west by the valley of the South river, flooded when the reservoir was filled. The village stands on the left bank of a small stream to the west of the road passing from Perebor to the north to the two terminal capes of this peninsula, where the center of the settlement is the village of Sudoverf and the village of Svingino . North-east of the Ponds, beyond the indicated road is the village of Burkovo , to the north-west is the village of Meshkovo , to the south-east is Israel and the south-west of Vorygino . On topographic maps at the site of the village the tract Prudy is indicated, apparently for some time the village did not exist [2] .
The village of Prudy is indicated on the plan of the General Land Survey of the Rybinsk district in 1792.
As of January 1, 2007, there were no permanent residents in the village [3] . A post office located in Sudoverf village serves 18 houses in the village. The streets of the village are not named [4] .
