Biography
He was born on February 23, 1920 in the village of Sergievskoye, Krapivensky district, Tula province [1] . Since 1931 he lived in Moscow. In 1936 he graduated from the 8th grade of the school, in 1938 - the school of FZU factory number 230. He worked as a mechanic at the factory number 6 in Moscow. In 1940 he graduated from the flying club Metrostroy.
In the army since January 1941. In July 1941 he graduated from the Armavir Military Aviation School of Pilots. He served in the combat units of the Air Force ( Far Eastern Front ).
Member of World War II : in April 1943 - May 1945 - pilot, senior pilot and flight commander of the 43rd Fighter Aviation Regiment. He fought on the North Caucasus , South , 4th Ukrainian , 3rd and 1st Belorussian fronts. He participated in the liberation of the Kuban, southern Ukraine, Crimea and Belarus , the Wislo-Oder , East Pomeranian and Berlin operations. During the war, made 223 sorties on Yak-7 , Yak-1 and Yak-9 fighters, personally shot down 15 in 69 air battles and in the composition of a group of 9 enemy aircraft.
For courage and heroism shown in the battles, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of May 15, 1946, Senior Lieutenant Kostikov Fyodor Mikhailovich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal .
In 1946 he graduated from the Lipetsk Higher Officer Flight and Tactical School of the Air Force . Until 1949 he continued to serve in the combat units of the Air Force (in the Group of Soviet Forces in Germany ); He was the deputy commander of the air squadron and the head of the air rifle service of the fighter aviation regiment. In 1954 he graduated from the Air Force Academy ( Monino ). He was deputy commander of a fighter aviation regiment for flight training, and since 1955 - deputy chief of staff of a fighter aviation regiment (in the Belarusian military district ).
Then he served in the Office of the 73rd Air Army ( Turkestan Military District ): as an officer and senior officer in the operational department of the headquarters (1956-1959), responsible on duty at the command post (1959-1960). Since April 1960, Colonel F. M. Kostikov is in stock.
He worked as the head of the personnel department at Plant No. 5 (1960-1961), an engineer at the Ministry of Communications of the USSR (1961-1963), at a defense enterprise (1963-1965) and at the Research Institute of Vacuum Technology (1965-1974), and a leading engineer at Moscow Plant of Electrovacuum Devices (1974-1983).
He lived in Moscow. He died on October 25, 1995 . He was buried at the Vostryakovsky cemetery in Moscow.
