Biography
Born into a peasant family, Karelian .
Since 1909, on earnings in St. Petersburg , he was a laborer, cabman, participant in the Bolshevik underground .
In the years 1914-1915 he was arrested and expelled for revolutionary activity.
After the February Revolution - the organizer of the trade union movement of builders in Petrograd .
Since 1918 - Head of the Finance Department of the Tver City Council.
Since 1920, in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army , a participant in the Soviet-Polish War (1919-1921) .
Since 1921 in St. Petersburg - the organizer of trade unions.
Since 1926 - Secretary of the Vyatka Provincial Committee of the CPSU (B.) .
Since 1930 - Secretary of the Moscow District Committee of the CPSU (B.) In Leningrad .
In November 1935 he was sent to Petrozavodsk and was appointed Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars of the Autonomous Karelian SSR . He was elected a member of the CEC of the Autonomous Karelian SSR.
Member of the Central Control Commission of the CPSU (b) (1924-1927). He was elected as a deputy of the XI-XVII Congresses of the CPSU (b) , XII-XVII conferences of the CPSU (b) . He was elected a delegate to the XVII All-Russian and VIII All-Union Extraordinary Congresses of Soviets.
Arrested on August 11, 1937 .
Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR at a retreat in Leningrad on September 9, 1937 under article 58-6-7-8-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for execution .
Shot the same day in Leningrad. Presumably buried in the "Northern Cemetery" of Leningrad.
Rehabilitated in 1956.
