Location

The village of Barmino is located in the southwestern part of the Shatursky district, the distance to the Moscow Ring Road is about 135 km. Altitude 140 m [2] .

Title

In written sources, the village is referred to as Barmino [3] [4] [5] , Bormino [6] .

The name is associated with the non-calendar personal name Barma [7] .

History

First mentioned in the scribal Vladimir book of V. Kropotkin 1637-1648. like the wasteland of Barmino of the Kolushsky edge of the volost of Murom Selts, Vladimir district. The wasteland belonged to Prince Ivan Bulatovich Meshchersky [8] .

The last owner of the village before the abolition of serfdom was Prince Meshchersky [4] [9] .

After the abolition of serfdom, the village became part of the Serednikovskaya volost [10] .

In Soviet times, the village was part of the Serednikovsky village council [11] .
