Location
The village of Dubrovka is located in the southern part of the Shatura District, on 136 km of the Egoryevskoye Highway . The distance to the Moscow Ring Road about 143 km, the height above sea level 133 m [2] .
Title
In written sources, the village is referred to as Dubrovka (formerly Vethova, Vetkhaya) [3] [4] [5] .
The name of the village is associated with the folk term Dubrov - a forest of trees of the same species, especially deciduous; thick, dense forest or just a forest [6] .
History
From the middle of the 18th century and until 1782, the village of Dubrovka belonged to the camp of Murom village of Vladimir district.
1711 Votchina Protopopova Fedosya Ivanovna.
1730 Votchina Krylov Vasily Gerasimov.
1750 The patriarch of Corporal Krylov Vasily Gerasimov. 22 courtyards - 133 inhabitants (81 men, 52 women) [7]
1766 Votchina captain-ensign Matyushkin Gregory Afanasyevich. 29 yards - 209 inhabitants (108 men, 101 women) [8] .
In 1782 the village belonged to Shetneva (Lopukhina) Ekaterina Nikolaevna , the daughter of Shetnev Nikolai Lavrentiev. And she inherited from his grandfather - Guards Lieutenant Captain Matyushkin Grigory Afanasyevich.
According to the revision of 1782, there were 259 people living in the village (132 men, 127 women).
According to the audit of 1795, 330 people lived in the village (158 men, 172 women).
According to the revision of 1815, 456 people lived in the village (222 men, 234 women)
In 1820, the village as a dowry of the younger daughter of Lopukhina Ekaterina Nikolaevna - Sophia Petrovna (1798-1825) goes to Lobanov-Rostovsky Alexey Yakovlevich for whom she is getting married.
The last owner of the village before the abolition of serfdom was Prince Dmitry Alekseevich Lobanov-Rostovsky [3] [9] .
After the abolition of serfdom, the village became part of the Dubrovsky parish [10] .
In Soviet times, the village was part of the Serednikovsky village council [11] .
