Altyntau Kokshetau (the former Vasilkovsky mining and processing plant) is the largest gold mining company (mining and processing plant) located in the Akmola region of Kazakhstan on the basis of the Vasilkovsky gold ore deposit [1] , and is developing the largest gold deposit in Kazakhstan - Vasilkovsky, with reserves of about 360 tons [2] (according to other sources, more than 500 tons [3] ). It is a 100% subsidiary of Kazzinc LLP - a Kazakhstani producer of zinc, lead, copper, gold and silver.

History
Vasilkovsky Mining and Processing Combine
The enterprise Vasilkovsky Mining and Processing Plant was established in 1963 at the Vasilkovsky gold ore deposit. In 2007, the plant began work on its reconstruction, within two years a new processing plant (gold extraction plant) was built and put into operation in 2009. On May 28, 2010, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev , within the framework of the state program for accelerated industrial and innovative development of Kazakhstan [4] , launched the work of a gold mining plant at the Vasilkovsky gold ore deposit. The head of state proposed to give a new name to the enterprise (at that time Vasilkovsky GOK JSC) - Altyntau [5] [6] .
Activities
The company is engaged in the extraction and processing of gold using a complex combined technology using traditional operations for the extraction of gold from ores: flotation, gravity and cyanide.
