Biography. Creative Way
Born and raised in the city of Pskov . His father served as deputy commander of the Pskov Airborne Division, his mother is an actress of the Pskov Drama Theater (since 1961), Honored Artist of Russia Larisa Ivanovna Kramer. From school he was fond of music, sang, was going to become an actor. However, parents insisted that you first need to get another specialty. Kramer planned to enter the Leningrad Institute of Aviation Instrumentation, but changed his mind and began to study history and English at the Pskov Pedagogical Institute. After graduating from the institute in 1984, he voluntarily left to serve in the army, in the airborne troops. (In those days, such a phrase was incorrect.)
After the army, the director of the Pskov Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin Vadim Radun invited Kramer to stage fights for one of the performances. According to Kramer himself [1] , this was one of the reasons that prompted him to choose the theater profession. He entered the Leningrad Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography. N.K. Cherkasov, to the directorial workshop of G.A. Tovstonogov , which he graduated in 1991.
The first directorial work that brought Kramer success was the play “Farsi, or Medieval French Jokes” based on the farces of the XIV century, staged together with Gennady Trostyanetskoy at the Theater on Liteiny in 1991. The Arts Council was appointed at 9 am to approve the performance. Realizing that it was necessary to save the situation, Kramer decided to invite theatrical critics who did not immediately agree to come, but were surprised that the run took place at such an early hour in theatrical life. As a result, the hall was full. The performance was greeted with a bang, the Arts Council lasted only three minutes. The performance began to go on the stage of the theater. The name "Farce" then passed to the independent theater, created by Kramer in 1992.
Now the director lives in St. Petersburg. He heads the company Kramer & Co. Production, established in 1998, which specializes in organizing cultural and entertainment events.
