Moshe Papa (Hebrew משה פפא, born 1952, Jerusalem, Israel) is a leading Israeli mammologist surgeon, developer of new surgical and hardware technologies in oncological surgery and mammology . Professor Papa is an expert at the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) , director of the Israeli Specialist Mammologist Surgeon Program, member of the editorial board of Surgical Oncology, the top rated journal in oncological surgery, member of the Israeli Ministry of Health expert and ethics committee, secretary of the Association of Genetic Technologies in Oncology. Professor Papa is a leading mammologist at the Manor Medical Center.

Biography

Received higher medical education at the Faculty of Medicine. Sackler Tel Aviv University . After graduation, he specialized in surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Complex, New York, USA. He completed an internship at the US National Institute of Health (NIH) , and then majored in surgery at the University of Toronto .

From 1991 to 2012 he worked in the Department of Surgery of the Medical Center. Chaim Sheba (Tel Hashomer), since 2002 was the head of the Department of Surgery. Since 2012, Professor Papa has been the Head of the Department of Mammological Surgery at Assuta, a leading Israeli hospital.

It conducts research on the mechanisms of development and treatment of oncological processes, in particular the processes of development of breast cancer . It studies the effects of regional infusion chemotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer, as well as the genetic changes caused by this type of cancer. Developing new technologies and combined methods of treating breast cancer.

Accusations

In 2012, Papa was charged against Moshe that between 2008 and 2012, in at least 49 cases, the Pope worked in commercial clinics or was generally outside the borders of Israel at the time that he was obliged to work in state hospital. In addition, he ordered his secretary to fake information in the electronic journal of working hours. Responding to the allegations, the Pope stated that all this is a widespread practice among doctors [2] .
