“ The Economic Consequences of the Peace ” is the work of J. M. Keynes , published in 1919 and which brought fame to the scientist.
In 1919, as the representative of the Ministry of Finance, Keynes took part in the Paris peace talks and proposed his plan for the post-war recovery of the European economy, which was not adopted, but served as the basis for the work “Economic consequences of the world”. In this work, Keynes put forward his plan for the post-war restoration of peace, which implied, in particular, the rejection of the imposition of huge indemnities on Germany and the adoption of measures to restore the German economy. Keynes believed that the oppression of Germany could lead to increased revenge , and also recognized the role of the country as one of the most important links in the European economy.
